Nghe An is a province of Vietnam, located in the North Central region. This is an ancient land with a long history of formation and development. Previously, Nghe An together with Ha Tinh was a land with the same common name Hoan Chau. In 1036, Ly Thai Tong renamed Chau Nghe An. Since then, the name Nghe An was officially identified as an administrative unit directly under the central government and lasted for more than 900 years. Along with the establishment of the name, the administrative boundaries of Nghe An continuously changed through historical periods: from Nghe An Chau (Ly and Tran dynasties), to Nghe country (in 1490 of King Le Thanh Tong's reign), and then to Nghe An province. Nghe An town (late Le dynasty). In 1831, King Minh Mang divided Nghe An town into two provinces: Nghe An (North Lam River) and Ha Tinh (South Lam River). In 1976, Nghe An merged with Ha Tinh, taking the name Nghe Tinh. In 1991, the 8th National Assembly of Vietnam issued a Resolution dividing Nghe Tinh province and re-establishing Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces... It can be said that the process of establishing administrative boundaries has created conditions for Nghe An to gradually strive to reach out. rise, confidently to build the homeland to become richer and stronger and to become a "model" province - worthy of the expectations of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Therefore, on the basis of documentary sources, we will contribute to clarifying the change of administrative boundaries of Nghe An from the 10th to the 21st century.
