Buddhism has always had a profound influence on the life and character of Vietnamese people. Located in the historical and cultural space of Nghe An, Thach Ha is an ancient land with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition. In particular, Quynh Vien mountain (Thach Ha district) is one of the first places where Buddhism was introduced in Vietnam, considered the origin of Buddhism in Ha Tinh in particular and Vietnam in general. In this article, we will clarify some Buddhist imprints on the land of Thach Ha, past and present, thereby contributing to a comprehensive view of the cultural and religious life of Thach Ha residents throughout the history of the nation.
