Hon Mat Ecotourism belongs to Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province, located right next to Ho Chi Minh Trail, 15km from Thai Hoa town center; 80km from Vinh city; 250km from Hanoi capital. With a total area of ​​50 hectares, of which more than 40 hectares are water surface area, the rest is a forest ecosystem and fruit trees, bringing a charming landscape and cool climate to Hon Mat. In addition, Nghia Dan district is a district with potential for concentrated agricultural development, abundant water resources, and a rich irrigation dam system. At the same time, Nghia Dan is also the residential area of ​​Thai and Tho ethnic groups with many unique traditional cultural features. With its location, resources and ability to connect destinations to form tours and tourist routes, Hon Mat has many favorable factors to exploit and develop rural tourism. The article analyzes the potential and current status of rural tourism development at Hon Mat Eco-tourism Area to propose a reasonable direction for exploiting rural tourism products here.
