This research article explores the importance of effectively applying green accounting
in Vietnamese businesses in the context of globalization. In addition to rapid economic
growth and increasing integration into global markets, Vietnam faces a complex and often
challenging balance between economic development and environmental responsibility that is
becoming increasingly difficult. It is increasingly urgent. Green accounting, a specialized
branch of accounting that goes beyond traditional financial reporting to include
environmental and social impact, has emerged as a strategic tool to address environmental
challenges and improve corporate transparency and international investment attraction. This
article examines the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for implementing green
accounting in Vietnamese businesses, highlighting the role of green accounting in achieving
sustainable development goals and enhancing High competitiveness in the global arena.
