Abstract: Children with special needs in general, and those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in particular, often face specific difficulties in daily living skills. The intervention goal for these children is primarily focused on enabling them to live independently. Therefore, developing self-help skills for children is consistently prioritized, especially for those with ASD. This article focuses on the role and stages of developing self-help skills in individuals with ASD, highlighting the Montessori education method as an approach to training these skills.
