This paper introduces an automated method for creating references in Microsoft Word using the “Cross-reference” function. Author outlines the process, from creating a reference list and inserting reference numbers in the text, to sorting and automatically updating the reference indices. This method saves time and reduces errors compared to manual updates of references.
