Effects of supplementing garlic-turmeric products in drinking water on the growth and survival rate of crossbred F1 (Mia x Luong Phuong) chickens from 1 day to 5 weeks old The study aimed to experiments the effective of garlic-turmeric products on growth, uniformity and survival rate of chickens (1 day to 5 weeks old). 270 Mia hybrid F1(Mía × Lương Phượng) chickens 1 day-old (male:female ratio 1:1) were setted up 9 experimental units (3 treatments x 3 replications). Each experimental unit was 30 chickens. Treatment 1: using commercial digestive enzymes combined with FLODOX-300 antibiotics with the recommended dose on the drug label (control); Treatment 2: 2ml garlic-turmeric products/1l of water; Treatment 3: 4ml garlic-turmeric products/1l of water. The results showed that chickens in NT2 and NT3 had higher growth rates, uniformity and survival rates than those in NT1 (respectively, weight reached 592 and 564 g/chicken compared to 422 g/chicken at 5 weeks of age, survival rates reached 96,66 and 93,33% compared to 83,33%. The indicators between NT2 and NT3 were not statistically different, but the absolute values obtained in NT2 tended to be higher than in NT3. Thus, the initial experiments results showed that the garlic-turmeric products was effective when added to drinking water for chickens during the small period. The applicable supplementary dose was 2 ml/1 liter of water and could completely replace antibiotics as well as drugs or products in raising chickens during the small stage.
