SPREAD AND TRIAL TREATMENTS OF CITRUS LEAF MINER (Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton) IN NGHE AN PROVINCE

This study provides data for the spread and trial treatmnets to control citrus leaf miner (CLM) in Nghe
An province. The research was carried out according to QCVN 01 - 119: 2012/BNNPTNT and TCCS
80:2014/BVTV. The results of damage trend of CLM in 2020 in Nghe An showed that: average damage
rate was from 3.51 to 8.28% and the highest damage level was found in the autumn (August,
September). CLM was the most hamful insect in citrus genus at Tan Ky district, but the lowest in Quy
Hop district. The spread of CLM depended on the buds of orange trees and using insecticide by
farmers. At field conditions, the Reasgant 3.6EC was the most effective reaching the hightest rate at
71.66% after 10 days treatment. The efficiency of herbal extract was 61.52% after and it can be used
effectively to spray regularly to have better following the young buds of orange trees.
