Concentration of selenium (Se), copper (Cu), zinc(Zn), magnesium(Mg), manganese (Mn) in the blood of patients with respiratory diseases was determined by the ICP-MS method after closed matriline digestion in a microwave oven. The results show the content of Se, Cu, Zn. Mg, Mg (ppm) have limits respectively: 0.0122- 2.0685; 0.2329 -1.5815; 1.9094-13.0964; 4,3917-19,1262; 0.0430-0.0753. Detection limits (ppt) are: 0.3870; 0.003; 0.045; 0.0042; 0.0045. The standard deviation of 10 repeated measurements does not exceed 6%. Recovery efficiency of elements from: 50.83-108.35%. The accuracy of the results meets AOAC standards
