Problem-solving skills are one of the essential competencies for individuals in the new era. In STEM education, how to effectively develop problem-solving skills for students remains a significant concern for many researchers and educators. This study explores the factors influencing the development of problem-solving skills for students in STEM education. The exploratory factor analysis method was used, with 25 questions designed by us and sent to primary school teachers through Google Forms. Based on the results from 278 respondents and data analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics, version 20, the exploratory factor analysis identified four factors influencing the development of problem-solving skills for students in STEM education. The findings of this study provide insights for new researchers on proposing effective teaching and learning measures in primary and secondary schools.
