The current direction of educational innovation is to strongly shift the educational process from mainly equipping knowledge to comprehensively developing learners' competence and qualities. Mathematical modeling competence is considered one of the core competencies to be formed and developed for students in teaching Mathematics in high schools. This study proposes some measures to develop mathematical modeling competence for students in teaching the topic “Quantum relations in triangles” (Math 10). Each measure has illustrative examples and analysis to clarify the manifestations of mathematical modeling competence to facilitate teachers’ application. It’s critical for teachers to flexibly apply these measures in the teaching process in accordance with learners’ characteristics, teaching content and practical classroom conditions.
