This study aims to evaluate the agrobiological
characteristics of Sedum sarmentosum varieties
collected in some Northern provinces and determine
the cutting season, age of cuttings, and the ability
to propagate S. sarmentosum. The experiments
were arranged in a fully randomized block, with 3
replications at the nursery in Ngu Chi Son commune,
Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. The results showed
that the S. sarmentosum varieties all had leaves
growing in 3 rings at the stem segments, leaf
blades were lanceolate to oblong, and the leaf tips
were slightly pointed; leaf color is usually light
green or dark green. The body is cylindrical, smooth,
light green to pink red, 1.0 to 3.0 mm in diameter.
Actual yield ranges from 4.0 to 5.3 tons/ha. The
most suitable cutting season is from July 5 to
August 5. The cutting age of 45 days gives the
highest rate of seedlings qualified for export and
the survival rate of plants (over 92%).
