In Vietnam, the Accounting and Auditing Strategy until 2030 has been issued in conjunction with Decision No. 633/QD-TTg dated May 23, 2022, by the Prime Minister of the Government. This strategy emphasizes the goal of implementing digital transformation in the fields of accounting and auditing. As a result, the demand for high-quality human resources in accounting is increasingly high, and accounting training institutions must also incorporate the advancements in science and technology into teaching methods, training management, and curriculum – in other words, embracing digital transformation in education and accounting training.By analyzing the overall situation of accounting education at universities in Vietnam within the context of digital transformation, considering the various influencing factors on the digital transformation process in universities, and drawing from the global experiences of digital transformation, the article provides several recommendations focusing on three key factors: Strategy, Human Resources, and Technology. These recommendations aim to innovate and revamp accounting education in the upcoming period.
