Identificaton of Leptobotia pellegrini, Fang 1936 in Tương Duong District, Nghe An provice Viet Nam

The fire loach Leptobotia Fang, 1936 has ornamental and commercial value. In Vietnam reports on this fish were made by Kotelat (2001) and Song Gam Tuyen Quang by Nguyen Van Hao (2005) and were defined as Leptobotia Pellgrini, Fang 1936. The discovery of this fish in Tuong Duong Nghe Mot High scientific significance can supplement the distribution of species and evaluate the diversity of the research area. In this study, we isolated two DNA barcode loci, COI and 12S, to identify and record the new distribution of Leptobotia felligrini, Fang 1936 in Vietnam..
