ABSTRACT: In the 2018 general education curriculum, the development of cooperation is recognized as one of the key competencies for students. This competency is designed to enhance students' ability to teach subjects and facilitate educational activities using various teaching methods and organizational approaches. The subjects of natural and social sciences are mandatory for students in grades 1, 2, 3, focusing on fundamental concepts related to nature and society. Given the characteristics of these subjects and the psychological traits of primary school students, incorporating games can offer numerous benefits in fostering their cooperative competency. Games have the capacity to stimulate learning and facilitate the acquisition of lesson knowledge in a gentle, natural, and highly effective manner. Games offer a valuable avenue for fostering both general and specific competencies in students, particularly in the subjects of natural and social science, including cooperative skills. To effectively cultivate cooperative competencies among students through game-based learning in natural and social subjects, it is crucial to follow a systematic approach. This approach entails game preparation aligned with the desired cooperative outcomes and lesson content, clear instructions for gameplay, well-organized game implementation, and comprehensive feedback and assessment to enhance cooperative skills.
