The years 1940 – 1945 in Vietnam was a remarkable historical period, considered "the eve of the revolution," with many events happening and many organizations born and developed. That was also the premise to appear many different groups and literary tendencies at that time. Han Thuyen exists both as an ideological group and as a publishing house. Based on collecting the sources of preserved works and synthesizing published studies, we try to partially complete the picture of Han Thuyen by visual data and objective assessment. The topic explores the organizational structure of the Han Thuyen group based on relationships such as business-family relationships; ideological-cultural relations; a friendship between colleagues; writer-publisher relationships. We also look at the group's overall activities in the period 1940-1945 through various publications in various fields of culture, history, literature, sociology, etc.
This is a group of writers, artists, and intellectuals operating in many disciplines, both researching and composing, with the core being Han Thuyen Publishing House and Truong Tuu. The policies proposed by Han Thuyen have partly shown the cohesion between members and common ideas; it shows that an isolated ideological organization, a publishing house, and a cultural-literary group are active but have yet to be clearly evaluated before.
