Abstract This paper explores the challenges faced by students with disabilities in the learning process in Vinh City, Nghe An Province. Drawing upon research conducted in households and educational institutions such as primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, and an educational center that cater to children with disabilities, the paper highlights the diverse barriers encountered by these students. Firstly, a group of parents of students with disabilities fail to seek medical assessment and obtain disability certificates for their children, despite being aware of their children's condition. Consequently, this neglect hinders the educational progress of children with disabilities. Secondly, students with disabilities often experience bullying from their peers at school. Such acts of bullying lead to feelings of fear, anxiety, and even reluctance to attend school, or in some cases, dropping out temporarily. This presents a significant obstacle to the learning process for students with disabilities.
