The law-governed state as an organization and operation method of a state and social regime can be built under the conditions of the socialist regime. This research explains the building of the law governed socialist state of Vietnam from the perspective of politics and jurisprudence. The article clarifies the perception process of the law-governed state by the Communist Party of Vietnam and identifies the particular features of the lawgoverned socialist state of Vietnam by using logical-historical method and comparative methods. Meanwhile, qualitative research method was used to clarify the achieved results as well as the limitations of building the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam. The author will then propose some recommendations for Vietnam to build and perfect the lawgoverned socialist state.
