The emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, combined with the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, has led to new normalcy of globalization, economic "flatism," and knowledge-based markets. In this untrodden world order, digitalization is crucial and necessitous for our government to maintain and advance its global position. Documents under the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam have initiated discussions on digital conversion, digital economy, and digital society. Outside of Congress, academic research and political discourse also regularly associated digitalization with the development of Vietnam. In this digitizing era, Vietnamese journalism and media companies must be the pioneers of our country's digital transformation by re-asserting and updating their technology to tally with global standards, thus contributing to the sustainable modernization of Vietnam.
13th Congress, digital conversion, digital economy, the media.
