One of the goals of the General Education Program in Mathematics in 2018 is to form and develop mathematical competence, including the following core components: mathematical thinking and reasoning capacity, modeling competence, and mathematical reasoning ability. mathematical chemistry, the ability to solve mathematical problems, the ability to communicate mathematically, the ability to use tools and means of learning mathematics. Thus, the ability to think and reason mathematically is considered as one of the core competencies that need to be formed and developed for students in teaching Mathematics in high schools. This study clarifies the manifestations of mathematical thinking and reasoning ability in teaching the topic "Combinant algebra", and proposes some specific teaching measures to develop for high school students. popularize mathematical thinking and reasoning abilities in teaching this topic. Each measure has illustrative and analytical examples that clarify the components of mathematical reasoning and thinking ability to help teachers more easily apply.
