The symmetry double tapered steel column with tubular cross-section are common structures in civil and industrial engineering because of bearing capacity and aesthetics. However, determine the bearing capacity of the symmetry double tapered steel column with tubular cross-section has not been mentioned in the design standards. Meanwhile, the appraise and test of the bearing capacity of this structure necessary problem. This paper proposes a procedure to determine the bearing capacity of the symmetry double tapered steel column with tubular cross-section using Bubnov-Galerkin methods. From the proposed computational model, the study had built a design computer program is established on Matlab. The numerical investigations have been carried out and conclusions, and recommendations.
