As part of the Ministry of Education and Training’s 2018 General Education program requirements, innovative teaching methods and career-oriented education are extremely significant. This contributes to achieving the goal of comprehensive education and streamlining the education process after junior high school and after high school. Our aim is to provide a snapshot of the current state of career-oriented education in some high schools in Nghe An province and propose a variety of methods and models to be used when teaching the Microbiology part of biology in grade 10 to develop career-oriented learning abilities. These suggested methods are further validated by the results of experiments on knowledge testing and career orientation surveys
