In recent years, sustainable tourism development has been one of the topics of deep interest to tourism researchers and developers. From the advantages of nature, people and community cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group in Ta Phin village, Sapa town and Lao Cai province have many advantages to develop tourism in a sustainable way. Within the framework of this article, through the case study of the Red Dao ethnic group in Ta Phin village (Ta Phin commune, Sapa town, Lao Cai province), we deeply analyze issues related to the preservation and promotion of cultural values of the Dao people in sustainable tourism development of Sapa town, Lao Cai province in particular and the Northwest region of Vietnam in the current period.
