Solutions to enhance people's satisfaction about environmental criteria implementation in the new rural program: A case study in Vietnam

The study used traditional analysis methods and exploratory factor analysis method with 283 observes, of which 270 household observes were used to assess people satisfaction about environmental criteria implementation in new rural program in Tuky district. Results indicated that on general average, the people’s satisfaction level of 3.84 points for the 5-level Likert scale, which is below the satisfaction level and above the normal level. Among the factors, “Restroom, bathroom and sanitary water tanks” achieved the highest level of satisfaction with
4.07/5 points. “Waste collection and treatment”, on the other hand, are the factors with the lowest satisfaction level of 3.35. The results of the exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis showed that there are 6 factors that significantly affect people's satisfaction, the order of impacts from strong to weak is as follows: (1) Environment in production - business, aquaculture, handicraft villages, livestockhouseholds; (2) Environmental landscape; (3) Waste collection andtreatment; (4) Water use hygienic and clean water; (5) Cemetery and burial sites; (6) Restroom, bathrooms and sanitary water tanks. Basedon results, a number of specific solutions to enhance people'ssatisfaction about environmental criterion implementation in new rural program in Tuky district.
