Water security is one of the important issues related to sustainable development and political stability and national sovereignty. Although the issue of water security is becoming increasingly urgent, strategic and global, however, in the content of the current Law on Water Resources, there is no explanation of words, principles, and regulations. which refers to ensuring national water resource security. Therefore, the completion of the legal framework to ensure water security is an urgent issue that needs to be resolved. The article focuses on studying the current legal provisions on ensuring water security, thereby, proposing some solutions to improve the legal framework on this issue.
