This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic fertilizers on the yield and economic efficiency of maize production, as well as on the chemical properties of the sandy soil of maize growing in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized block design with 3 replicates. The experiment consisted of 5 formulas: CT1: Base + no organic fertilizer; CT2: Base + traditional manure application; CT3: Base + microbial agricultural by-products Compost Marker; CT4: Base + industrial dairy cow manure composting Compost Marker; CT5: Base + microbial organic fertilizer Song Gianh. Experimental results showed that the combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers in maize cultivation affected the agronomic parameters and chemical properties of sandy soil in two communes: Nghi Thach and Nghi Thai - Nghi Loc district. Inorganic fertilizer application combined with organic fertilizer CT2, CT3, CT4 increased corn yield and soil chemical parameters were significantly higher than other levels of fertilizer application (p<0.05). Economic efficiency at the level of fertilizer by-products (CT3) achieved the highest profit and was about 2-4 million VND/ha higher than the other formulas.
