Experiential activities are an effective learning model in developing students' qualities and competence. Organizing experiential activities in the form of small groups will develop students' cooperative competence well. The article presents some concepts such as experiential activity, competence, and cooperative competence. From there, the study proposes a process of designing experiential activities in teaching Natural Science to develop cooperative competence for students and illustrates by example the organization of teaching lesson “Plants” under the theme “Diversity in the living world”, Natural Science 6. Research results are an important reference for secondary school teachers in the context of current educational innovation.
