Abstract:
As a talented poetic writer of Vietnamese literature in the second half of the 18th century, female poet Ho Xuan Huong was honored as “The Queen of Nom Poetry”. Her poetic talent has not only been transmitted and commented on, but many generations have always struggled to find ways to explain and relate many factors that contribute to nurturing and creating a unique poetic style. In addition to admiring the talent, readers are also deeply interested in the personal life, predestined and difficult circumstances in the biography of the female singer, whose ups and downs are transformed into joys and sorrows in poems. Some Vietnamese theater and cinema productions have recreated typical features in the life and career of the female artist: partly to perfect the spiritual portrait, on the other hand, to contribute an extra voice to explain, a corner of discovery to honor the achievements and legacy of Ho Xuan Huong left for posterity. That is the focus of research and analysis of this pape.
