The fungus entomopathogenic Isaria tenuipes were collected in Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province. The synnemata of I. tenuipes were successfully cultured on silkworm pupae when inoculated with at a concentration of 106 cfu/ml and light intensity of about 300 lux, giving the infection rate of silkworm pupae to 70.00 ± 3.55% and 68.80±4.12% formed synnemata; average synnemata weight 1.68 g/pupae. I. tenuipes develops on silkworm pupae in 2 cycles. Cycle 1 formed synnemata and conidia, the life cycle 40.08 ± 2.50 days. Cycle 2 only formed conidia, the life cycle 19.52 ± 1.53 days. Research on infection mechanism and development of I. tenuipes on silkworm pupae is of great significance in biological control of plant insect pests and medicinal applications.
