Currently, innovating teaching methods in the direction of promoting the capacity of students has been a topic attracting the attention of researchers and an urgent requirement of society. Stemming from the above requirement, on the basis of studying a number of theories on self-study capacity: Concepts, characteristics, capacity structure, and content of the modules in the subject of national defense and security education especially the module on infantry fighting techniques and tactics according to Circular 05 to promote the competencies that need to be formed for students according to the objectives of the module, propose some methods of teaching the course on combat techniques infantry and tactics towards promoting students' capabilities.
