Extra-curricular activities are believed to support the official approved syllabus and
play an important role in the formation and development of learners’ personal
attributes, talents and creativity. Extra-curricular activities to history lessons aim to
fulfill the course objectives, foster young generation dreams, ambitions and pride in
traditions as well as equip them with course-related professional skills to solve
problems in their life. Therefore, the effective implementation of history extracurricular
activities is a focus of the innovation in History teaching and learning. The article
emphasizes the historical contents to be exploited when organizing extracurricular
activities in order to improve the quality of History teaching at High Schools.
