Abstract: The urban governance administrative model is a pattern of local government built in accordance with the characteristics of the city, in order to improve the performance of state management administration of the government in cities. Building the governance administrative model is one of the major goals of Vietnam in recent years to promote the strengths of the city and limit the shortcomings of the previous local state administrative agency when a unified model is applied. The article studies the legal and practical bases and the world's experiences to recommend appropriate solutions to build governance administrative model in Vietnam to answer the needs of the new situation.
