Developing pedagogical competence for students is a very important task in schools
of pedagogy. The article presents pedagogical competence, analyzes a number of opportunities to form and develop pedagogical competence for students. Thereby, a number of measures are presented to contribute to the development of professional competence for students of mathematics pedagogy major.
