The speedy growth of science and technology revolution 4.0 has presented some new achievements as well as
challenges to the whole education in general and foreign language teaching in particular in Vietnam. Accordingly, desperate efforts
should be made to keep up with such continual innovation and create proactive participation in the process of information
technology (IT) and intellectual economy. For issue clarification, the article proposes the application of information technology in
foreign language teaching in the 4.0 period.
