Organic farming is a process that relies on a natural ecosystem without the use of chemicals and artificial fertilizers. Since the 20th century, organic farming has received attentions and research outcomes in order to create products that are safe, good for human health and environment friendly. In recent years, the organic area in the world has been continuously increasing, reaching more than 70 million hectares in 2018. The organic farming system has contributed to an increase in biodiversity and soil fertility. However, challenges in recent organic systems needed to be addressed to improve production efficiency and contribute to sustainable agricultural development.
