The research findings show significant trade imbalance between Vietnam and China in terms of agriculture products. Based on the findings, every 1% in the reciprocal Vietnam - China exports of agricultural products lead to the increase of 0.437% and 0.183% in the agricultural economic growth of Vietnam and China respectively, between which there is a long-run equilibrium relationship. Also illustrated by ECM and Granger test, there is a role of mutual promotion between the growth of export turnover of Vietnamese agricultural products to China and the agricultural economic growth of Vietnam. This, however, is unclear for China. During the course of cooperation, there exist several negative impacts, demanding that the two countries should further reinforce and strengthen their bilaterial cooperation relationship in order that the Vietnam – China trade in agricultural products truly becomes one of the determinants with positive and increasing contribution to the economic growth of each country.
