Human is the most important factor, which decides the quality of all activities. The correctional officers are the main force, playing an important role in the enforcement of legal provisions on ensuring human rights in the enforcement of imprisonment. They not only have the conditions to violate human rights but also have the task of preventing prisoners’ human rights violations. Therefore, improving the capacity, expertise, professionalism and sense of responsibility of the corectional officers is one of the important ways to ensure human rights in the execution of prison sentences. The article mentions the legal provisions as well as the overview of organizing the contingent of prison officers, thus, some recommendations are proposed to improve the quality, capacity and qualifications of this contingent in the coming time.
