Abstract- The compressive strength of two recycled concrete aggregates was investigated. Recycled concrete is designed with compressive strength Rn = 15 MPa. The ratio between conventional aggregate and recycled coarse aggregate from waste concrete is 50-50. 15 samples for each recycled concrete aggregate had been casted, of which 3 will be tested at 7 days old, 3 samples will be tested at 14 days old and 9 samples at 28 days old. Experimental results indicate that the strength development of these two recycled concrete mixes is relatively uniform. Fly ash helps increasing the strength of recycled concrete by about 11% compared to the absence of using fly ash. The compressive strength of recycled concrete using fly ash is reduced by about 7% compared to the compressive strength of conventional concrete.
