The study and survey of insect pests conducted in storages of rice in Nghe An province during the 2 recent years from 2019 to 2020 indicated that there were 11 species identified in the storage of Nghe An, most of them belong to the Coleoptera order, 3 of them are the most popular such as Sitophilus oryzae (Linnaeus), Sitophilus zeamay L. and Alphitobius diaperinus Pans. Life cycle and survival rate of Sitophilus oryzae (Linnaeus) are influenced by culture temperature. In culture medium is 250C, 70%RH, their life cycle is 45,31 ± 0,59 days, survival rate is 74,02 ± 0,37%, in culture medium is 300C, 70%RH, their life cycle is 38,05 ± 0,46 days, survival rate is 70,47 ± 0,23%. The density of Sitophilus oryzae (Linnaeus) through surveys from February 2, 2020 to March 22, 2020 on two forms of grain storage and three different foods shows that the density of this weevil continuously change and increase gradually through surveys.
