The paper pointed out the argument structure through Ly’s speech in the novel “Mùa lá rụng trong vườn” written by Ma Van Khang. By using speech with hierarchical and diverse reasoning system and flexible expression forms, the writer enables the character to reveal her psychology, personality, lifestyle, and attitude; thereby he explains implicitly the depravation process of Ly in particular and the human in general in modern times. Through analyzing organization of usual and philosophical speech in the character’s speech, the paper contributes into affirming the argument theory in dialogue and highlights Ma Van Khang style.
