To meet the need of radical, inclusive education and training, as well as the need of teacher resources with adequate and a well-rounded adaptation which ralated overall high education curriculum. In this light, universities need to be improved the teacher training program. In that context, Vinh University has developed a CDIO-based training program - the standardized training process, the output-based for input design for all pedagogical disciplines to improve the quality of training which issued by MoET. For the Geography pedagogical training, the design of the program in this approach also helps us to build the model of professional competence of Geography pedagogical students as the basis for reference for the training process. The paper focuses on the relationship between the model of occupational competence of geography students and the geography pedagogical training program in the direction of CDIO approach, at Vinh University.
