The global COVID-19 pandemic has indeed brought unprecedented impacts to nearly
all sectors of the Vietnamese economy and society, especially in terms of attracting
foreign direct investment (FDI). In this article, the author provides an overview of the FDI
attraction situation in Vietnam and aims to evaluate the contributions made by the FDI
sector, elucidate its constraints, and delve into the reasons behind these limitations.
Additionally, it offers recommendations to bolster FDI attraction and utilization in the
post-Covid-19 era
