Tourism plays an essential role in economic development. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism of Vietnam and of Nghe An province in particular are adversely affected. At present, the hospitality industry is promoting domestic and international travel activities in align with safety, early preparing solutions to move forward and adapt to the new normal. The paper assesses the situation of tourism in Nghe An province in the period of 2018-2021, and proposes recommendations for local authorities, enterprises, infrastructure and digital transformation to help the tourism industry recover and develop sustainably
