The law-governed state as an organization and operation method of a state and social regime can be built under the conditions of the socialist regime. This research explains the building of the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam from the perspective of politics and jurisprudence. The article clarifies the perception process of the law-governed state by the Communist Party of Vietnam and identifies the particular features of the lawgoverned socialist state of Vietnam by using logical-historical method and comparative methods. Meanwhile, qualitative research method was used to clarify the achieved results as well as the limitations of building the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam. The author will then propose some recommendations for Vietnam to build and perfect the law-governed socialist state.
