This study evaluates the effectiveness of argument mapping in enhancing the reading comprehension of argumentative texts among English-majored students. Through a 10-week experiment involving 125 students and utilizing the "Skillful 2 Reading and Writing" coursebook, the experimental group that applied the argument mapping method showed significant improvement in understanding, analyzing, and evaluating arguments compared to the control group. The results indicate that argument mapping is an effective tool for improving reading comprehension in EFL teaching, with recommendations for incorporating this method into instruction.
